Hair

Cancer patients going through chemo — and kids with various other medical problems — need your hair! It must be at least 10 inches long and not chemically treated. Please don’t sweep up hair that’s fallen on the floor. You have to donate it in a nice neat chunk — a braid or ponytail.

Locks of Love, probably the biggest name in this non-profit niche, was recently reviewed poorly by Nonprofit Investor because of a seemingly large discrepancy between the hair they take in versus the wigs they put out. So you might want to try one of the smaller organizations instead:

Wigs for Kids

Pantene Beautiful Lengths

Children With Hair Loss
